Material to be handled
The OKTOPUS® GL-MGS 1600 is suitable for handling flat glass, curved glasses (concave or convex, bending radius ≥ 1.5 m) and window elements. The suction areas of the elements to be lifted must be air-impermeable, have to have an even and clean surface and must not be covered with protective foil.
Description
The vacuum based load lifting attachment OKTOPUS® GL-MGS 1600 is designed for handling glass panes and window elements with a maximum weight of up to 1600 kg on construction sites.
The suction frame can hydraulically be tilted by 90° and rotated hydraulically by 360°. Furthermore, the load can be balanced by an integrated counterweight balancer. All functions are operated with a remote control (optional radio remote control). The necessary negative pressure in the suction pads is generated by a 24 V DC vacuum pump.
Deviations from the nominal condition are indicated by optical and acoustical warning devices. Even in the case of complete energy breakdown, vacuum remains in each suction pad for at least 5 minutes. In this way a secure lowering of the load can be ensured at all times.
